In addition to device up/down status, SANE Network Operations Center (NOC) provides advanced monitoring services to monitor device health including port utilization, interface utilization and latency. Performance statistics are constantly recorded for every monitored device including interface level detail. Relevant performance monitoring information is available on-line in real-time. SANE Consulting Inc. has immediate knowledge of an event or incident and reports it. The NOC identifies the problem by separating resulting symptoms from their source. The point of failure, or fault, for the identified problem is isolated in a root cause analysis by gathering and analyzing information correlated from multiple sources and system tools.


The problem, now identified, is corrected so that no other failures or symptoms arise as a result of the correction. The process could include escalation to third-party organizations such as carriers as well as dispatch for hardware repair/replacement.
