South East Alberta ICT Alliance

Stakeholders and supporters form the entity which can best be described as the South East Alberta ICT Alliance. This is a group of organizations who may be affected by this project. Some have already expressed desire to take a collaborative approach to building the community based communication networks of the future.

Stakeholders

The stakeholders are the core groups who will need to demonstrate leadership in forming the governing body and representation from public and private interests. This team must demonstrate visionary leadership and cooperation in order to carry out this project.

Organizations who have not already formally engaged in this project with us are encouraged to contact Josh Sehn at 403-952-1717 or email with an letter of support.

The following is a partial list of stakeholders, all with mutual interests in the future of our communications industry and can have a direct impact on this project.

Private Sector

Obviously the impact on the citizens and businesses in our communities is expected to be substantial. Evidence of the positive and widespread economic impact of affordable and modern broadband services is as abundant as it is compelling.

Statistics show that where municipalities invest in broadband, there are more private providers of broadband services. Like schools, hospitals, and other public services, investment in broadband infrastructure delivers substantial benefits to a community that private economic actors will not necessarily recognize and take into account when making investment decisions.

SANE Consulting Inc is continuing discussions with several groups. As discussions become more formal, participants will inevitably become public with their intentions. More information will be posted soon.

Please consider signing a letter of support to express your interest. If you would like to be involved as a Technology Vendor please contact Josh Sehn or by phone at 403-952-1717
